Meet Your Instructor
Steve Prescia is a former U.S. Navy SEAL who has been a part of the special operations community for over 25 years. He served at SEAL Team One as an active-duty operator and reservist from 1993-2004.
In 2003, Steve worked for Dyncorp on a Dept. of State contract in Afghanistan to protect the Afghanistan President, "Hamid Karzai." He was a part of an elite team of special operators from all military services like Navy SEAL's, Delta, Marine Snipers, Army Green Berets', just to name a few.
In 2004, he served again but this time in Iraq with “Triple Canopy,” he was a team leader for a diplomatic protection detail during “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” On this deployment, Steve sustained a devastating gun-shot injury that almost took his life. Steve and his team were ambushed from an opposing force and he was shot in the leg while driving in the protection convoy.
After a long recovery Steve went back to work as an firearms instructor preparing former spec-ops personnel for protection operations in a combat area; training other spec-ops in all weapon systems from personal to crew served firearms.
Later In 2007, he found a passion in coaching and mentoring others to pursue a career in special operations. He worked for “Blackwater,” serving as the Navy’s Special Warfare Mentor in the NY/NJ area for over 10 years. He was recognized as one of the top mentors for preparing our next generation of warriors in such a challenging time for our country.
